CK Summer Picnic

We always look forward to the CooperKatz company events.  The summer picnic is such a blast.  We didn't think we would be able to go this year due to the Ty's due date, but the picnic had been rescheduled for late August.  It worked out well for us because all four of us were able to drive upstate for a beautiful day.  We rented a car and everything :)

Chase immediately gravitated to the chalk (and bubbles)

Ty found an endless amount of willing babysitters - He slept so well cuddled up with many friends, including Rachael

Marcus and Chase are the dots all the way to the left - they were flying Marcus' drone.
I'm the dot all the way to the right in the pink shirt.

Kids love bubbles.

Marcus always stalks the food plans before we go.  He was definitely not disappointed.  I think he was drooling the entire drive up dreaming of his meal -- brisket (And several other delicious BBQ foods)!  CK knows food.  Good food.

One of the desserts was a birthday cake to celebrate birthdays of several CK employees.  Apparently Chase thought that included him.

I love Chase in this picture - he wanted to be part of the special birthday group :)

Looking forward to more fun CK family events!

Ty - One Month

Ty had his one month pediatrician appointment.  He's a month old!  Crazy!  He's doing really well -- he gained 2 1/2 pounds since his last appointment.  He's in the 70th percentile in height and weight, and all his test results are normal.  He was also a super stud after his shot and only cried for probably three seconds.  Seriously!  He's a super hero.

Space Train

We had been talking about going on the Roosevelt Island tram since we moved to New York and finally went.  It helped that Chase LOVES trains, airplanes, and all things that go.  Once he saw it and called it a "Space Train," we had to go ourselves.

Chase was really excited about the Space Train as we took the bus to the tram.

Waiting patiently (!) for the next tram to arrive

Watching it dock

We weren't expecting Chase to be nervous on the tram, but Chase kept saying "I scared" and insisted on sitting on Marcus' lap.

Marcus enjoyed taking pictures out the window:

Ty and I also made the trip

Getting closer to Roosevelt Island and getting a little less scared

Arriving at Roosevelt Island

Chase and Marcus enjoyed watching the next tram leave:

Aren't they cute?!

We walked over to a nearby park so Chase could play.  It was such a beautiful area right on the river with tons of trees and grass.  Who knew, grass and greenery in NYC?! :)

Ty also enjoyed some sun

Chase is always drawn to the water

And water balloons.  He LOVES water balloons.

There were a few guys playing basketball, and Chase enjoyed watching them play.
They weren't very good :)  Every time they'd miss, Chase would yell out, "Oops, he missed!"

Then we headed back to the tram by way of a baseball game and port-a-potties.

I'm pretty confident Chase is officially potty trained.  If you can go in a port-a-potty, you can do anything!

And we were headed back to Manhattan on the tram:

After a delicious Tres Carnes lunch, we were back on the bus home.  I think Marcus finally had a positive bus experience.  He usually protests taking the bus the entire time.
