BFFs

We had a home teaching dinner on Sunday with our friends, who also happen to be Marcus' home teaching companion (Matthew) and their home teachees (Michael, Siri, and Cohen Alemany).  We're really sad because the Alemanys are moving soon.  We will really miss them, and we know Chase will miss his buddy, Cohen.  We always joked that the boys are twins-- about the same age, size, energy level, fair skin...  Marcus snapped a bunch of pictures of them playing and a fun video of them chatting in the window.  Sadly you don't really get any pictures of their faces-- they were just too busy :)

A Day with Daddy

Erica had a long day of cello and church activities on Saturday, so Chase and I got to hang out.

First, we built a basic fort.

 And that was enjoyable.

And fun to tear down as well.

But afterwards, we had to upgrade the situation a bit...

 With Daddy's tent.

We also did our best to impersonate Daddy.

And, naturally, Chicago had to investigate the situation too.

It was a fun day - it made me really appreciate everything Erica does for Chase during the week even more.

Page Visitors

Marcus just posted a blog about his parents coming to visit, and then this past weekend, my parents came out to visit.  It was a Grandparent Month!  Besides the sick moments, I think we all enjoyed the visitors and ome good food/sites.  Here are some pictures from our fun.

Chase liked showing off his toys and books

And taking his new stuffed corn (from Iowa) out for walks

We went out to eat

And were constantly bundled as it was pretty cold

Chase watched some Daniel Tiger and Frozen, apparently with his Corn

He played with grandpa

We took the train

We stopped at Mariella Pizza for lunch

We also went to the Central Park Zoo

Chase LOVED the penguins.
Every time one swam by, he'd say, "WOW!"

Chase made a friend at the zoo.

We saw some fun animals

Chase would get really close to these birds and just smile and laugh.
The other kids stayed farther away, but not Chase.

He pet and fed the sheep

A cow, for Marcus

Trying to get the food to the sheep, and not just in Chase's mouth

He seemed to love feeding the animals :)

We also walked around FAO Schwarz
They had a huge PEEPS section, just for my dad

And of course, amazing LEGO creations

There was a trip to the park

And also lunch at Shake Shack

Check out that line!

Right when we got our food, Chase threw up everywhere.  That was fun.  It was probably the flu because now, about 48 hours later, he seems to be much happy and healthier.  Poor little guy.  No more sickness!  We want spring!

Watching more Daniel Tiger

And a new YouTube movie, which Chase liked to sing and dance to...

The weekend went by really fast, but we all had a fun time, despite a few lost items and a sick baby.  Can't wait for some more vacations this summer... but it will have to stop snowing first :(
