Thanksgiving

I really think this was the fastest year ever!  Between the cross country move and vacations/holidays, it feels like we skipped over a few months.  "All good things, all good things."

Chase invented our "Thanksgiving Smile" breakfast.  Not bad :)
doughnut eyes and a banana smile

For Thanksgiving dinner, I brought one of Connie's chocolate pies.  They are so good.  They're pretty easy to make if you don't mind mixing forrrrevvvverrrrr!  Lucky for me, I had a little guy desperate to help :)  And he did a great job.  Pie success.

Dinner was at Gram and Pop's house.  I don't have pictures from the day - but a family picture we took is on our Christmas card :)

I had never been Black Friday shopping, and I really wanted to go.  Seemed like fun.  Marcus didn't think I would get up that early.  He bet me $100 I wouldn't be at a store by 6:00 AM...

I won!

Flying Home

We were not thrilled out our flight back home because it had a layover in California, but that turned out to be awesome!  As you probably know, Chase LOVES airplanes.

And we loved one last Cafe Rio meal

Chase was enamored with the airplanes, especially because he could get so close to them at the Long Beach Airport.

He was great in the airport watching the planes get ready (and later meeting and playing with some little Australian boys who were headed to visit NYC for the first time)

And then we were home.  It was sad to leave everyone, but luckily we have Christmas to look forward to -- three weeks to go!

Hardys

And here are some more pictures from our time with the Hardys...

Marcus, Paden, and Mike went to a shooting range

More Cousin Time

Chase thought the guitar was a "Daddy Cello" and loved playing with Grandpa

He was also so soft and gentle petting the bird

Another comfy Ty nap

It is not easy to get a good picture of Chase and Ty together, even one of Chase alone is tricky

Ty meeting Luke

There were many matchbox tracks made with Grandpa throughout the week

Chase quickly figured out how to do it all by himself

Luke, the baby guard dog

Our Ty Guy

There were many Mario Kart and other Wii Sibling Game Nights

I love scrolling from the concentration in this picture to the next one

Kate reading with Chase

And almost everyone was roped into some Play-Doh time with Chase

Ty was able to meet a lot of family

Great-grandma Love

This picture was taken on the FIRST TRY! AMAZING!

Thanks for a fun trip in Utah!

Thanksgiving

Sadly I don't have many pictures from Thanksgiving.  We went to breakfast at Annie and Rea's house with Amy, Randy, their two boys, Margaret, my parents, Mimi, GDaddy, and Trevor.  And we had Thanksgiving dinner back at the Hardy Bungalow with Marcus' family, both sets of his grandparents, and our friend from NY Matthew.  All the food and company was wonderful.  We were grateful to spend the day with so much family!

Here are my four pictures from breakfast:

Thanksgiving in West Virginia

Thanksgiving in Morgantown, West Virginia, with my college roommate Amy and her family was so much fun.  It was great to be out of the city and with "family" :)  Marcus loved the trees especially, while Chase was a huge fan of all the unexplored closets and drawers.  Made for an exciting weekend with lots of fun memories.

Plus we were spoiled rotten by the DeLawders.  We stayed in their home just outside of Morgantown.  Like Marcus said, we had forgotten Chase's bed, so he slept on a futon mattress on the floor.  He did a great job and didn't even wander in the morning when he woke up.

We attended two Thanksgiving meals -- a family one on Thursday and another family/ward one on Friday.  Most of the pictures below come from the second meal on Friday at the DeLawders' home.

Where's Chase?
Of course... Finding treats.
Over and over.  Let's say he had a couple pretzels...

Thanks for the idea, Pinterest.  See, Amy can "cook" :)

It was fun to venture somewhere new and see friends we've missed for a long time.  Hopefully we'll be back again to see Morgantown again, maybe in the spring when everything is in bloom.

Happy Thanksgiving!
