Packing Progress

Packing is pure madness.  Moving across the country is nuts.  But going from a one-bedroom in Queens to a house in Utah made it a lot less stressful.  Nevertheless, boxes for days...

I started piling stuff in the living room, but that quickly got out of control

Then I started piling boxes in the bedroom.

At least one guy was always a happy helper.

Chase had his good moments too :)

I guess so did the cat.

Everything made it into a box.  Took me weeks.  But we did it.

Pre Pre School

One of Chase's favorite activities each week was his Pre-Pre School class.  We met at the church on Thursdays, and the moms all alternated teaching.  These are a few pictures from his last class, which Holly taught on the letter J.

We looked forward to his class each week - Chase always came home and talked nonstop about the letter he had focused on.  So glad we had such great friends!

Fire House Open House

Ever since we missed the day of Pre-Pre School when the fire truck came, I've been wanting to take Chase to the fire station.  The dad of one of the girls in the class is a fireman at the station in Sunnyside - how cool is that!  Luckily there was an open house right before we were moving, so we were able to go check out the trucks.

He was a little overwhelmed at first, but then he realized there were lots of people to answer any question he could come up with :)

Calmly checking out the firetruck with the longest ladder around - apparently this fire house often responds to emergencies in Manhattan and they needed a bigger ladder.

He wanted to turn on the lights "all by myself"

Going Away Party

Lenzci and her mom have been talking about having a party for us since we moved in, and we finally scheduled one.  

Chase loves Lenzci and was really looking forward to a party at her house. He brought her a flower, which was super cute.

Chase went around talking to everyone.  It was cute.

And he ate lots of cookies and found every toy in the house

And he did some karaoke.

It was a really fun night.  I'm glad we finally made it to a famous Lariego Karaoke party!
