Since I actually had a Saturday where I didn't have to go in to the city to work, I insisted we do something fun. We considered a couple different options and decided to try the Easter festivities at the Queens Zoo. Chase has always enjoyed that zoo, especially with the petting zoo section, and we hoped he'd enjoy an egg hunt and a photo with the Easter Bunny.
There were quite a few kids and families at the zoo, but Chase had no problems finding some eggs around the zoo.
The great thing about this Easter Egg Hunt is that it's in the petting zoo side of the park. After selecting his ONE egg (that's all he wanted), Chase decided it was more fun to feed his goat friends.
The llamas didn't care about the kids with food.
Marcus enjoyed feeding the goats too.
Chase quickly released how the food dispensers worked and would search for left over pieces of food.
He found several dispensers around the park.
He probably would've fed the goats all day.
...But I wanted to go see the sea lions :)
Chase enjoyed watching the sea lions too.
He just calmly sat, ate his goldfish, and listened to the hungry sea lions.
Getting comfortable Chase insisted on keeping his hood up when the wind started. It was so nice in the sun but freezing in the wind.
We ran into the Kenworthys from church at the zoo -- Chase liked to try doing everything Ali did.

We continued walking around the zoo and came across the Easter Bunny! I was nervous Chase wouldn't care much (like at our visit to Santa Claus), but Chase LOVED the bunny!

Chase had a blast! It was a fun day at the zoo.
And then he took one of the best naps he's taken in months :)
