Last weekend was our ward Christmas party. The YW were asked to help with decorations and desserts, so I headed up to the church early. Marcus had a baptism, so he was there early too, which of course meant Chase came. It was a long day for all of us, but we had a great time.

Oooo, check out the dessert I made for the party- it wasn't this one exactly because I forgot to take a picture, but it really did look a lot like this! It was a chocolate ginger marble cake from my Martha Stewart cookbook. |

He seemed to be having a good time :) |

Getting ready to start dipping pretzels and marshmallows in chocolate |

And also to arrange flowers for the tables |
 |
They worked really hard |
 |
Except when Chase tricked them into playing with him instead |
 |
Of course, he found another piano |

Trevor would be proud! |
The ward party consisted of a BBQ pork sandwich dinner, which was actually really tasty, to quote Marcus, a sing along, a lot of socializing, and a visit from Santa. The gym looked really great! One of the YM told me it looked just like a wedding. :) Chase did a pretty good job of behaving through all the business and noise, but he did get tired early.
 |
He took some time alone (with Marcus) to calm down and found his favorite activity throughout the night: up and down the elevator |
 |
And then he came back for some dancing |

Look at that happy face ;) |
It was a great Christmas party-- lots of food, fun, music, and friends.
It's coming up quickly... Merry Christmas :)
