Wheeler Farm

We asked Chase what he wanted to do, and he picked the farm.  He definitely had some stubborn moments, but he was really excited about the ducks.  He also enjoyed the horses and tractors, but it was difficult keeping his focus :)  But I had a great time.  There were lots of baby animals, which was fun.

And finally ducks

Chase did not like the geese on the walkway - they were pretty scary

After walking through the farm, we went over to the playground.  At first, Chase was really nervous to climb up all the stairs to the big slide, but there were some other little kids there who encouraged him.  They told him what to do and helped guide him around.  So cute.

Happy Boy #2
It started out a little rough with two tired boys, but we ended with two super happy boys - who then crashed in the car on the way back to Gram's house.  It was a lot of fun. :)

Offer Accepted

What an incredible announcement to make on our 600th Blog Post!

We made an offer on a home, and it was accepted!

Our new house is right on the border of Lehi and Saratoga Springs, and we love the location.  It's between 15-20 minutes to get to Marcus' work - can't beat that!  Plus it's close to Utah Lake.  We have some ponds in the back common area, a playground, and then you can see the lake and mountains behind it.  We're really excited about it.

Our street
Here are a couple pictures.  The property manager was doing some basic painting and fixing a few things, so ignore that.  Instead, imagine a lot of empty rooms with minimal furniture.  (Remember, we're in a one-bedroom right now!)

The front of the house.  Chase was already happy to hear the address is 77 N Kintail because 7 is his favorite number.

The front door leads into a small living room with the kitchen and semi formal dining area behind.  That door is a small balcony.  Chase & Ty's bedroom, a bathroom, and my music room are to the right, and the master bedroom/bathroom, laundry, door to the garage, and stairs to the basement are to the left.

A beautiful sight!

I was curious what Kintail was, so I looked it up.  It is a mountain range in Scotland.

It is sad to leave New York, but this is making it a lot more exciting.

Codeword SLC

Since Marcus' company obviously has an office in Utah, he was able to work during our trip.  He didn't have to take any time off, besides an hour here or there to house hunt.  We didn't all make it to meet his coworkers, but I did get to see the building.  It's near Thanksgiving Point, so it's a really fun, growing area - with lots of good restaurants close.

They have a projector on during the work day that displays on that wall to the left.  Last time I heard, it was playing Harry Potter...

(Spoiler Alert: We signed the contract for our HOUSE at that table)

It will be fun to meet the Utah office, but it will have to be in May since I ran out of days to bring the boys by.  But Marcus is really happy there, so that's great!

Getting to Utah

Getting around in New York is always an adventure.  It's a little boy's dream with all the different trains, buses, cars, and airplanes.  Getting to JFK this time was no exception.  It involved a car, train, Air Train, and airplane.  Chase loved every second.

The car from Sunnyside to Woodside was quick and rather uneventful - definitely a good thing with all our suitcases and little people :)
Waiting for the Long Island Railroad in Woodside

Both boys were enjoying the train

Bucket List item: Take the train to Babylon!  Seriously, I really wanted to.  We didn't ride all the way to Babylon obviously, but we did take the Babylon bound train to Jamaica :)

Proof, if you can read that it says "Babylon"

A lot of people were on the train, so we were standing in the doorway.  Ty enjoyed looking and smiling at all the new people.

The Air Train was also quick and uneventful.  Chase loved finding letters on the walls and talking nonstop, as usual.  It is a bit of a walk from the Air Train over to the check in counters, but things went smoothly.

The happiest traveler
I'm really amazed at how simple it was traveling this time.  I thought it'd continue to get harder as the boys got bigger due to all the stuff they need, but it wasn't nearly as crazy as I had thought.  Even without the stroller!  (It's in the shop.)

I'm sorry, but I had to include this.  Chase decided right before we were supposed to board that he HAD to use the bathroom.  It was meant to be.

Shake Shack

Jana, Corie, and Cadie came out to New York for the weekend, so we arranged to meet up.  I took Chase and Ty into the city to meet them at one of our favorite places: Shake Shack.  Chase loves the Black and White shakes, so he was super excited (and very well behaved) during our commute.

I told him I wanted a picture of him smiling before he could have a shake, and this is what I got.

Finally, he relaxed a little bit.  We call this his "I want a shake at Shake Shack" face.

Yum :)

Ty also wanted to try Shake Shack

Chase had a blast playing with Jana.  They both giggled (and snorted) the entire time.

Chase also decided that "Pick me up" was a fun game.

He surprised everyone with his compact weight!

Come on, Jana!

And they were off!

Thanks for visiting!
