In the bedroom (we are going to keep all music things in there since it's definitely bigger than any Utah bedrooms)
Marcus was feeling super sick, so he and Chicago took a nap. It took him about two days to feel better. But while he was napping, I made some great progress unpacking.
CHRISTMAS TREE! (He did help a bit before his nap.)
I can't tell if I just scattered the mess or actually did something productive. But the front room does have less boxes.
And we did get the couch and the nearby corner cleaned up.
Ah, the bathroom. If you've ever had a crazy toilet in your home, you've got nothing on us! You can't see it here, but trust me, it's way old school. Seriously.
There's some of the mess. Nate Berkus said we always put off our bedrooms until last because we want to get rooms people see presentable. I'm going to mark this moment as my Nate moment and decide to work on that room next!
Moving in December probably wasn't the best idea, but the Christmas tree in all the pictures is a nice touch :)
But check out all the empty boxes...
Obviously we're making more progress all the time, but I feel like it's slowing down a lot now. The living room is coming together, and the bedroom actually looks like a room not just a pile of cardboard and drawers. Hopefully by the weekend it will really look nice. By nice, I mean no huge boxes obstructing any hallways :)
Love! Love! Love these pictures! Keep up the good work and I would like constant cyber tours of your apartment! You guys are definitely living the dream!
ReplyDeleteThank heaven for blogs. Now that we don't have the luxury of you two in Utah this will be a great help. No wonder Stacey was so gung ho for a blog back in the early days of your marriage.
ReplyDeleteYou are gaining on the boxes. It will be your own cute little corner of the world with one kitty ruling supreme.
That IS one funky toilet. You can't get more vintage than that unless you had a pull chain and water tank above! I can see one of those over the toilet cabinets in that space. Everything goes up in NY, right?
I love you.
