Snow Men

Obviously there was a lot of snow in New York City with this blizzard.  Our stake ended up canceling church because the roads were such a mess and mass transit wasn't reliable yet.  Instead, we spent a calm day home as a family -- with no meetings!  For a little bit in the afternoon, Chase and Marcus met Alexander and Fernando down the street to play in the snow.  They boys were excited to build a snowman, or a snow blob :)

Shoveling Snow

When Chase saw the snow, even how little there was, he insisted on going outside.  He had a blast shoveling the sidewalk with Grandpa.

Once again, we watched from inside where it was warmer.

Chase loved everything about being outside and helping with the snow.  It was so much fun watching him light up as he played with the shovel and maybe cleared some snow.

Blizzard Juno

Now we've lived through a hurricane and blizzard.  Both were nothing near what was anticipated, so we were lucky.  I took some pictures out our front room window.  You can see the snow build up on the railing the best.

And this morning when we woke up.

Late in the morning, Chase and I went on a walk to check out the snow.  He needed to get out, and I was curious how much snow we really got.  Chase enjoyed the walk and smashing the snow.

He didn't like the snow sticking to his gloves.

A handful of snow and a lollipop.  He's ready for anything :)

Oh, did I mention Marcus has been out of town?  He missed all the blizzard fun.  He's in Texas on a work trip enjoying a big hotel room, delicious barbecue food, and (I'm sure what are) enlightening meetings.

Snow in NY

There hasn't been a ton of snow, but it's been ridiculously cold here.  When we did have some snow on the ground, Chase and I went out for a walk.  He wanted to see it (and kick it???).

He's been insisting on his reindeer hat, which is adorable.

And he still has to walk on all the grates when he sees them.

He's a funny little guy.  We can't wait for it to warm up so we can go play outside longer and go to the park!

Sledding in WV

Marcus was really excited to take Chase sledding outside in West Virginia.  We got some entertaining pictures of the venture.
