Blizzard

Now in NYC, we've lived through a hurricane, super storm, and a blizzard.  Life is exciting!

They did a great job of keeping the walkway shoveled when the snow would slow down, but the wind was still crazy

And inside our apartment, it was so warm that we made shakes! And Marcus got sprinkles even though he didn't want them!

Hopefully we have no more natural disasters while we're in New York!

Blizzard Juno

Now we've lived through a hurricane and blizzard.  Both were nothing near what was anticipated, so we were lucky.  I took some pictures out our front room window.  You can see the snow build up on the railing the best.

And this morning when we woke up.

Late in the morning, Chase and I went on a walk to check out the snow.  He needed to get out, and I was curious how much snow we really got.  Chase enjoyed the walk and smashing the snow.

He didn't like the snow sticking to his gloves.

Oh, did I mention Marcus has been out of town?  He missed all the blizzard fun.  He's in Texas on a work trip enjoying a big hotel room, delicious barbecue food, and (I'm sure what are) enlightening meetings.

And then a BLIZZARD?!

Once again, our cute neighborhood was saved from natural disasters.  We did get some snow, but nothing near what is shown on the news.  There was a good amount of snow on the ground, which is still there since it hasn't warmed up too much yet.  It really built up once the snow plows were able to make it down our roads-- it's a little bit trickier here with the narrow roads and parallel parking.  I did take a couple pictures walking around the day after our blizzard, but it doesn't show too much.

Most cars got buried in a lot more from the snow plows and shoveling, but these were closest to our building. 

Now we've lived in New York City for a little over a year, and we've had Hurricane Sandy, Storm Athena, and a blizzard.  Man, I hope that's it!  Definitely more than what Arizona has... :)
