Since we were already all in the city, we decided to make a day of it. We hit up some places we'd been wanting to go. Obviously we went to the Build-a-Bear section in Macy's. We were actually looking for a star for the top of our tree. Chase has been pretty upset that we had a bow, not a star, on our tree. So we said we'd get one at the big Christmas store. But guess what... they didn't have tree toppers! Crazy, right?! So instead, we went to the new Chick-fil-A.
It's really close to Macy's in Herald Square.
I love Chick-fil-A. They're so family friendly. They brought a placemat for Chase that sticks to the table. Genius.
Marcus fed the boys upstairs in the seating area while I got our lunch.
Chase was hit with some more energy and decided it was a good idea to hide under the table. Not cool. Stressed out his parents.
The wonderful Chick-fil-A employees brought over a little book for Chase and a cow for Ty. They're amazing people. Both boys loved their gifts.
Then we walked up 5th Avenue to see the decorations, lights, displays, and tree at Rockefeller Center.
Chase liked these huge lights, but he didn't understand why there wasn't a plug.

Seeing the big tree
Chase also liked watching the ice skaters. He noticed a Santa skating there too.
Marcus and I were pretty tired after our day out, but Chase still had energy to spare. Go figure.
Then back home, Chase and I decided to color a star for the top of our tree.
It's perfect. Even better than a store-bought one. I'll have to laminate it or add some sparkles.
One week to go!
All the presents are still wrapped - no Chase massacre of the boxes yet
