Ward Christmas Party

Last weekend was our ward Christmas party.  The YW were asked to help with decorations and desserts, so I headed up to the church early.  Marcus had a baptism, so he was there early too, which of course meant Chase came.  It was a long day for all of us, but we had a great time.  

Oooo, check out the dessert I made for the party- it wasn't this one exactly because I forgot to take a picture, but it really did look a lot like this!  It was a chocolate ginger marble cake from my Martha Stewart cookbook.

 The ward party consisted of a BBQ pork sandwich dinner, which was actually really tasty, to quote Marcus, a sing along, a lot of socializing, and a visit from Santa.  The gym looked really great!  One of the YM told me it looked just like a wedding. :)  Chase did a pretty good job of behaving through all the business and noise, but he did get tired early.

He took some time alone (with Marcus) to calm down and found his favorite activity throughout the night:

It was a great Christmas party-- lots of food, fun, music, and friends.
