Trevor & Logan

We've been really excited for Logan and Trevor, and we'd been looking forward to celebrating them.  Chase loves Logan, which is super cute.

A quick wenus check

The wedding was at the Reno temple in the morning, and then there was a delicious luncheon after it.  The reception was later that night in Fallon at Logan's parents' house.

It was beautiful

Chase was excited when Annie arrived

Chase loved all the music and dancing, and he was pretty much in non-stop Chase mode.

And sparklers were fun too!
Congratulations Trevor & Logan!  As Marcus says, you completed the in-law trifecta. <3 p="">

Reno

We had been looking forward to our trip to Reno.  I had never been before, and Marcus hadn't been for a long time.  Logan is from Fallon, which is pretty close, and Marcus has a lot of family in the Reno area.  We decided to stay with Marcus' grandparents for the weekend in Reno, and then on Saturday, we attended the wedding events around Reno and Fallon.

Our plans were changed when we found out the Marcus' cousin was killed in a car accident.  Alisa was driving to the airport late, and they are saying a drunk driver hit her.  Everyone died, including her unborn baby who was due a month later.  It was so tragic.  The only good thing was that we were already planning to be in Reno so we were able to attend some of the funeral events.

It was definitely a weekend of a lot of highs and lows emotionally, but we were grateful to be part of the wedding and funeral events.

We also had a few car issues on the way there.  We had to jump the car before we left, and the battery completely died as we arrived at Marcus' grandparents' home.  It could have been worse for sure, but we were able to get everywhere we needed to (after the new battery in Reno).

Using Sally to jump the Camry, which I now call Myrtle.

Chase is always ready for a roadtrip

Especially if there are snacks

Marcus' uncle Rich bribed Chase to go to the store with him by getting Play-Doh.  They both had a lot of fun making cakes with the Play-Doh cake bakery.

I don't have other pictures, besides from the wedding.  Guess that means that we have to go back sometime and visit with the Reno Hardys again soon!

Ty's Birthday Party

We decided to do a big family birthday party for Ty the night before his first birthday.  We had a barbecue in the backyard with hot dogs and lots of sides.  Chase also helped pick out the type of cupcakes we made.  It was extra fun because our friends from NYC, the De Leons, were staying with us, so they were at the party too.

Tasty

Chase picked out chocolate cupcakes with the funfetti frosting

Ty enjoyed making a mess

But then he wanted to be cleaned up

It was a fun birthday party.  It's nice living so much closer to family so we can have birthdays together.  Happy Birthday, Ty!

Neptune Park

This area of Utah County is really cool.  They plan lots of events throughout the summer.  On Monday nights, the City of Saratoga Springs hosts a big food truck event where they line the side of the park with all kinds of food trucks.  Also once a month they host a movie under the stars when it gets dark.  Although we didn't end up staying for the movie since it doesn't get dark until pretty late, we decided to have an evening playing at the park and then get dinner at the food trucks with our neighbors.

I chose a grilled cheese sandwich themed food truck and had a delicious grilled cheese with turkey or chicken or something.  I can't remember exactly.  But it was good.  And Marcus had BBQ that he still talks about.

Chase had a PBJ and some french fries.  And then he played at the playground for awhile.  It is an amazing park - it's actually famous.

This park is definitely on the list to go back to and play more!

Fourth of July

Munds Park used to be a quiet little place with a small 4th of July Parade where all the kids would ride their bikes down the street.  Oh, it's grown...

Waiting for the parade

All lined up

There were all kinds of tractors and trucks, fancy cars, trailers, military, etc.  It was incredible!  And then afterwards, there was a carnival near the country club.

Chase wanted his hair spray painted.  Seemed out of character, but he was very proud of it.

I think the bouncy houses were his favorite activity.

That or eating chips with Mimi

And his minion popsicle.

Happy 4th from the Hardy boys!
