Arizona

Marcus and I had really been looking forward to our vacation in Arizona for Brian and Courtney's wedding.  We didn't realize Chase had been so excited too until we got out the suitcases.

He even buckled himself in, that silly boy

We took a late flight so Chase would sleep on the plane, which worked out great.  He ran around the airport watching airplanes take off until we boarded.  Then he crashed.  It's so nice having an entire row on the airplane now so he can sleep in his own seat.  It's much more comfortable flying now :)

The second we arrived, Chase was ready to play.  I think he was 600% energy the entire weekend.

Even in the rain, seriously 600% energy!

"Is it raining in there?"
"Yes, Chase, it's raining."
Our nonstop conversation.

Looks peaceful, right?  Ha.

But I enjoyed a few moments of peace :)

Now here's a fun memory.  Between the sealing and the reception, we went back to Mimi & Grandpa's.  Chase wanted to go outside, check out the pool, water the plants, and apparently take off his clothes to play in the water.

My dad even watered Chase.

And they watered the pool.

We all laughed so hard!

Chase spent a fair amount of time in the pool, and he loved spinning in the tube.

Lots and lots of pool time :)

And then pool time with Gram.

Watering the cactus was a popular activity.

You can't really tell, but Marcus was super excited to see a quail family.

And Chase enjoyed the park, though he was apparently confused as to why there were no trains nearby.  Obviously a NY city boy :)

What I actually should've gotten a picture of was Chase playing with Mimi's matryoshka dolls.  He called it his candle and had it with him every second he was at their house, including bedtime.

It was a really fun weekend, and seriously, the weather was perfect.  Getting home was a bit crazy between a delayed flight, a turbulent ride, Marcus puking on the plane, and me puking in the cab.  No joke.  But Chase slept through all of that since it was another redeye.  And then he slept basically the entire day we got back in town.

He was completely out on the couch.  Obviously he had fun on the vacation.
