New Beginnings

Two weeks ago was our New Beginnings night for YW.  It was the first big event since the big presidency change, so I was pretty nervous.  But I think it turned out great.  The girls had lots of energy and were full of smiles, and the parents seemed happy about the night and how YW is going.  

Our theme was "The Big Picture," so we had each of the girls give a short talk about the different values with our one Laurel summing up how all those pieces add together to create the big picture-- going to the temple.  We had a red carpet, starts as decorations, pictures of all our stars (the girls), and movie snack treats including a few fun kinds of popcorn.

This picture really is amazing.  Maybe you know that three years ago, we had just one YW.  Two years ago, we had three.  Now we have ten, and by the end of the year, twelve!  CRAZY!  :)  It's definitely a lot of work being in YW, but I love getting to know all the girls and getting to be part of their activities.  However, I am glad New Beginnings is over... :)
