O Tannenbaum!

So I love Love LOVE Christmastime. I had been so excited all day, despite my ridiculously early morning shift at work, because we were going to come home and put up our tree. And no one can say it's too early since it is after Thanksgiving. I took a lot of pictures. Really, it is quite embarrassing.

These two pictures are from outside our front window:

Marcus' ornament:
Our ornament from Disney World:
The coolest ornament ever from Bed Bath & Beyond :)
I was given this one last year:
Taaa-daaaa!
Well, I guess we weren't quite finished yet...
I love this guy:
More decorations. You do what you can in a one-bedroom. ha.
Christmas moo0-vies
We did some rearranging to fit the tree along with every other thing in our apartment.
Nana made this nativity for us for Christmas last year. Isn't it amazing?!!
Baby (Bam)Boo Christmas-ed. It reminds me of Charlie Brown.
This was from my first official cello student from college a couple years ago:
Marcus insisted the drums fit in with the Christmas decor since there was a famous drummer boy :)
The tree with a couple presents:

Hooray for Christmas! It's the only time of the year I don't complain about snow (as much). And if you live in Utah, tune in for Christmas music on the radio... except on Sundays because we obviously need Church music to be playing instead. Oh well, I have Christmas cds. :)

Thanksgiving in Snowbird

For Thanksgiving, we drove up to Snowbird with my grandparents and several of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Page side. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and eat way too much :) Here are a couple pictures from Thursday:

Cooper
Sydney and Lisa
Sydney, Chris, and Mason
Marcus making faces so I won't take a picture :)

Getting all the tables ready. I believe there were 23 people at dinner.

Dinnertime! There was so much food-- it was awesome. I should've taken a picture of all the desserts. You'd be amazed how many amazing pies and cheesecakes there were. I attempted to make cupcakes again that looked like little pies, and they tasted pretty good. I'm not posting a picture though because they had a rough life getting up to Snowbird :)

I went outside to take some pictures, and Sydney decided to come too. She wanted to kick the snow and then show it to me :)

And here are the pictures from our window. Maybe you can imagine how cold it was outside. At least now it's officially Christmas time-- I can accept coldness when Christmas is coming :)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

The Last Bit of Color in Utah - 2010

So I wanted to take a couple pictures of the pretty yellow trees at our apartment complex. I've been stalking autumn to get some pictures, and I couldn't resist taking some this morning... even though it was raining :)

Good thing I did because that great tree looked like this within a couple minutes (and has gotten worse every hour):

There are so many different colors in our small parking lot-- it really is a beautiful place. The buildings may be old, but the trees make up for that ;) Too bad the cars wouldn't move for my pictures.

Snow's coming...

That window that you can't see is our bedroom window. Yep, we get to see the amazing orange tree through our window. Well, not quite anymore. Sad.

I must admit I really love Utah during times like this :) I'm incredibly nervous for winter, but every year it gets a little easier.
